TURNING IDEAS AND LEADERSHIP INTO ACTION
Young people need more than encouragement to lead, build and create. They need opportunities to put their skills into practice, access the right support and turn their ideas into something real.
On 8 October 2026, BANG and PIA are bringing together partners and supporters to raise money for the Youth Leadership & Enterprise Social Investment Fund.
The Fund creates opportunities for young people to develop as leaders and entrepreneurs, launch enterprises and lead projects that make a positive contribution to their communities.
FROM AN IDEA TO THE MARKETPLACE
For a young person with a business idea, having the idea is only the beginning.
Through the Fund, aspiring entrepreneurs can follow a structured journey to understand the problem they want to solve, identify a gap in the market and build a strong business case.
They can then define their product or service, develop and test their offer, and take it into the marketplace.
Along the way, young entrepreneurs have access to mentoring, coaching and business development support from the BANG team and professionals across different industries.
The aim is not simply to help young people start businesses. It is to help them develop the knowledge, skills, relationships and practical experience needed to build enterprises that can grow and become sustainable.
YOUNG PEOPLE LEADING
Enterprise is only one part of the Fund. Young people are also supported to develop as leaders through training delivered by BANG, before putting those skills into practice by taking responsibility for real projects.
Funding enables young people to participate in leadership development, plan and deliver projects, work with others, make decisions and contribute directly to their communities.
It means leadership is something young people do, not simply something they learn about.
CREATING LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY
The Youth Leadership & Enterprise Social Investment Fund helps create a pathway from learning to doing.
A young person can develop an idea, receive support to build it, access funding to launch it and continue receiving guidance as their enterprise develops.
Another young person can develop their leadership skills by taking responsibility for a project that sustains their community.
Both are gaining tangible experience and the opportunity to turn their potential into action.

BANG works with partners across different industries to give young people access to expertise, mentoring, coaching, networks and business development resources.
On 8 October, BANG and PIA will bring supporters together to help grow the Youth Leadership & Enterprise Social Investment Fund and create more of these opportunities.
