Young people develop leadership by contributing to real work: researching, co-designing, creating, organising, presenting, facilitating, evaluating and making decisions. Youth leadership is not a standalone programme. They help shape programmes, develop resources, support delivery, research local needs, organise events, create content and contribute to enterprise and governance.
College, university, and T-Level students contribute to live organisational needs rather than simulated exercises. Interns and T-Level students have been involved in the development and delivery of STACKS programmes, while placements across BANG can include research, project development, media, marketing, evaluation, finance, and operations.

Purposeful placements matched to interests and learning goals.
Structured placements applying academic knowledge to real organisational needs.
Industry-linked placements connected to technical study and appropriate support.
Young people can progress into further placements, youth-led research, industry insight, STACKS, mentoring, paid opportunities available, professional networks and advisory or governance roles.
Each pathway includes induction, goal planning, supervision, reflection, and evidence of learning. BANG uses structured reporting and Upshot to understand participation, progression and outcomes.
All young people leave BANG with LinkedIn profiles, CV and are featured on the BANG Talent and Alumni page.
